Portugal is preparing to enter the restricted club of countries that produce supercars. The announcement was made in 2024 and since then curiosity has not stopped growing: the first high performance Portuguese supercar is in the final stages of development and already has buyers in various parts of the world.
According to Jornal de Notícias, Adamastor Furia is the name chosen for the Portuguese supercar that should reach customers in 2026.
With production scheduled to start in September this year, the project has already registered eight confirmed sales and also has 12 pre-reservations.
Factory in Perafita and hiring specialized technicians
The factory that will produce this vehicle will be installed in Perafita, in the municipality of Matosinhos.
According to Jornal de Notícias, Adamastor is preparing to reinforce its technical team, with hiring mechanics and automotive specialists.
“Adamastor, at this moment, is a laboratory, and from now on, with the works that we will do, it will become a factory,” said Ricardo Quintas, CEO of the brand, quoted by the publication.
A supercar for the industry giants
The purpose of the Portuguese brand is not modest: to compete with the best in the market.
As explained by Engineering Director Ricardo Ribeiro, quoted by Jornal de Notícias, Adamastor Furia is just the beginning of a production line designed to rival names already established in the luxury segment.

Top components and ultra-limited production
The fury will be produced in only 60 units, which positions it as a very limited editing car.
Each copy will cost 1.6 million euros, plus taxes.
Among its technical highlights, the model will feature Ford Performance V6 biturbo engine, capable of developing 650 horsepower.
It uses carbon fiber in various structural components and has space only for two occupants.
Customers arrive from several continents
Despite being a Portuguese project, Adamastor Furia is gaining international interest.
According to the first buyers are customers from Canada, the United Arab Emirates and various European countries.
Portugal in the radar of high performance automotive engineering
Adamastor’s entry into this market represents a relevant step for the national industry.
The country, which so far was mainly recognized for its participation in car assembly phases and manufacturing components, thus also has representation in the super -sports segment.
Plans for the future include new models
Adamastor does not intend to stay here. According to Ricardo Quintas, the launch of this Portuguese supercar is just the first chapter of a story that could include new models and the reinforcement of the brand’s national and international presence in the coming years.
