Flamengo announced the hiring of midfielder Jorginho this Friday (06/06). The Italo-Brazilian, who was in Arsenal, arrived in Rio de Janeiro and went to the vulture nest to meet his new teammates.

When Jorginho debuts?
Jorginho was hired by Flamengo aiming at the Club World Cup dispute. Thus, it is likely that the midfielder will narrow in the first match of Fla during the tournament, against Tunis (Tun) species on June 16. At 33, he signed a contract until July 2028.
Now it will depend on the physical evolution of the player, who is good. Jorginho had been playing for Arsenal and his last match took place on May 18, against Newcastle.

Jorginho’s salary in Flamengo
Even without having to pay for the transfer, as Jorginho ended his contract with Arsenal, Flamengo will make a significant investment to hire him.
Adding salaries and gloves, the total amount of the three -year contract should be around 13 million euros (equivalent to R $ 84 million in the current quotation), already liquids. Considering the charges and taxes, the gross cost of the operation will be approximately 16 million euros (about R $ 107 million).

Flamengo at the Club World Cup
Flamengo is in Group D of the FIFA 2025 Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States from June 15 to July 13.
