During his state visit to France, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) participated on Friday (6) the opening of the exhibition “Our Terra Drum Boat”by artist Ernesto Neto, at the Palais de Tokyo, in Paris.
Accompanied by French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Rosângela da Silva, Janja, Lula reinforced the symbolism of the resumption of Brazilian cultural and diplomatic protagonism in Europe.
Without jacket and barefoot, Lula interacted with artistic performance, lying on the floor next to the acrobats. The gesture was recorded by international photographers.

The show is part of the official program of the Year of Brazil in France 2025which celebrates the 200 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The cultural season was launched as a milestone in the bilateral agenda and foresees a first phase with Brazilian events in France between April and September, followed by a French stage in Brazil from August to December.
State trip
Lula landed in Paris on Wednesday (4), accompanied by an entourage that includes ministers Mauro Vieira (Foreign Relations) and Marina Silva (environment and climate change). The trip marks one of the highlights of the international government agenda in 2025, focusing on topics such as energy transition, environment and approximation with the European axis.

In addition to Paris, Lula will visit the cities of Toulon, Nice and Lyon. The visit ends next Monday (9).
