President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is on Friday (6) the last day of the official agenda in the city of Paris. Lula received the title of honor from the University of Paris 8, a public institution in Saint Denis, a municipality in the metropolitan region of the French capital.
He and the first lady Rosângela da Silva, Janja, were welcomed by students, teachers, authorities and a student of students and staff to the chapel who sang Macawby Luiz Gonzaga, in Portuguese. University 8 is known for receiving minorities, foreigners and has, in the student body, indigenous postgraduates in Brazil.
The President accompanied the Ministers of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho; the Minister in Exercise of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, Executive Secretary, Márcio Elias da Rosa; Justice and Public Security, Ricardo Lewandowski; Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira; The Ministers of Culture, Margareth Menezes, and Environment and Climate Change, Marina Silva; the Brazilian ambassador in France, Ricardo Neiva Tavares; the director general of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues. France’s ambassador to Brazil, Emmanuel Lenain, also attended the event.
