A 64 -year -old man died on Saturday following an accident with an agricultural tractor in Pombal, the second commander of local volunteer firefighters, João Carlos Santos told Lusa.
“The agricultural tractor will have to take, next to a barrier, there in the agricultural ground. But we do not know what happened, even what time. The Lord would walk in his agricultural work when the accident took place. A 64-year-old deadly victim resulted,” said João Carlos Santos.
The second commander of the Volunteer Firefighters of Pombal, in the district of Leiria, said that the victim “did not return home yesterday [sábado]after work, and the family has since been looking for him. “
According to the Sub-Regional Command of Civil Protection Region, the alert was given at 11:37 and on site, in the Ameixieira area, were 14 operatives supported by five vehicles of the Voluntary Firefighters of Pombal, the Republican National Guard (GNR) and the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM).
