The former first lady posted a biblical passage on social networks shortly after the house arrest of former President Jair Bolsonado () being decreed.
“And the heavens will announce their righteousness, for God Himself is the judge,” Michelle wrote in temporary post on Instagram.
This Sunday (3), Michelle participated in a march in downtown Belém and said Bolsonaro is chased. The former first lady asked for amnesty to the prisoners.
“Our rights are being curtailed. My husband is suffering prior censorship. He was silenced and many have been silenced before,” Michelle said.
The Minister of (Supreme Federal Court) ordered on Monday (4) the house arrest of, president of Brazil between 2019 and 2022 and defendant in process of a coup plot at the end of his government.
The magistrate stated that the former president broke determination prior to appearing in videos displayed by supporters during demonstrations on Sunday (3). Bolsonaro was forbidden to use social networks, even if intermediate.
The decision makes him the fourth occupant of the maximum position of the country to be arrested since the redemocratization – before him, had the same destination Fernando Collor, Lula (PT) and Michel Temer (MDB).
Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) called Minister Alexandre de Moraes a “uncontrolled psychopath” and said in a statement that the determination of house arrest of his father, Jair Bolsonaro (PL) did not surprise him.
