Sisu+: check out the 7 courses that will not have vacancies in this edition

Starting this Monday (15), students who signed up for Sisu (Unified Selection System) at the beginning of the year will be able to try for a new place at Sisu+. The program, designed for the first time in 2026, aims to fill unfilled vacancies at public universities. However, candidates for more competitive courses, such as Medicine or Dentistry, will not find vacancies for these careers.

Seven courses will not offer remaining places this semester:

  • Biomedicine;
  • Cinema e Audiovisual;
  • Aeronautical Engineering;
  • Medicine;
  • Dentistry;
  • Psychology;
  • Advertising and Propaganda.

In addition to these exceptions, there are 532 courses available, including bachelor’s and degree formats, and some qualifications, such as Mathematics and Physics, have the largest number of places available.

In total, there are 34 institutions, including universities and federal institutes, offering services in 13 different states, namely Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Tocantins. Of these, the state with the largest number of vacancies is Paraíba, with 1,776, and the one with the fewest is Piauí, with just 21.

How to sign up for Sisu+?

To qualify, it is necessary to fulfill some prerequisites, such as having registered for the regular Sisu at the beginning of 2026. In addition, candidates must have taken one of the last three editions of the Enem (National High School Exam), the score of which is used to calculate approval.

Those who completed the essay in the test and/or who have taken the exam as trainers cannot participate.

Once the requirements have been met, it is necessary to access the Single Access Portal and log in with your Gov.br account. The registration period runs until this Friday (19th) and the results are scheduled for June 24th.
