União Brasil leader in the House, Pedro Lucas (MA), said the party will discuss with the government adjustments on social benefits so that there are alternatives to public accounts and the Ministry of Finance Return of the Increased Tax on Financial Operations (IOF).
The deputy released on Friday a video and a note on social networks in which he lists a series of measures that the subtitle evaluates to discuss at a meeting scheduled between Finance Minister Fernando Haddad, the mayor, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), and party leaders of the house.
Without detailing how this should be done, the Union leader cited the way the budget growth is given to health and education to be “aligned with the new fiscal framework.” He also mentioned “control in the growth of the BPC (continued benefit benefit, paid to the elderly and people with low -income disabilities), preserving the rights of beneficiaries”.

The leader also spoke about the use of oil auction surplus revenues and dividends of the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) as other suggestions.
– This weekend we will have a meeting with Minister Fernando Haddad. The agenda is the fight against the increase in IOF, tax that focuses on the lives of all workers, all Brazilians. The detachment of health and education revenue, the surplus of oil, the dividends of BNDES are some of the themes we will deal with at the meeting with Minister Fernando Haddad – he said.
The deputy stressed that there is still no agreement with the Ministry of Finance about the points raised.
