O Iran claims to have used its new type of ballistic missile in the last attacks against Israel.
According to the state news agency Fars, Israel was hit by the guided ballistic missile.
Iranian Defense Minister General Aziz Nasirzadeh told Iranian TV on May 4 that the new missile would be able to overcome defense systems such as the United States High Altitude Terminal, which was implemented in Israel, as well as the Patriot and others used by Israel.
Iran revealed the missile in early May, stating that it is solid fuel -powered, has a 1,200 -kilometer range and is equipped with a maneuverable warhead capable of penetrating antimysis defense systems, according to Iranian news agency Tasnim.
“The new ballistic missile is also equipped with an advanced navigation system that allows it to reach targets accurately and combat the electronic war,” Tasnim said in early May.
The missile was named when Solimani, former commander of the QDS Force, the Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Special Operations Unit, which was killed in a US attack in Iraq during President Donald Trump’s first term.
