Government sees less obstacle to Senate Security PEC – 02/08/2025 – Panel

The government assesses that it must have an easier way than due to a greater alignment of governors with the text, according to members.

According to people who accompany the processing of the PEC, the discussions around the text in the Senate will be more technical, without just in the discourse of invasion of the competence of federated entities, as defended wing of deputies who oppose the proposal.

There is also an assessment that PEC will help in the integration of security policies between Union, States and Municipalities, and that the political cost of creating barriers to approval would not compensate, especially in the election year.

In the House, where OE will begin to be processed at the Special Commission in August, the approval is expected to be later this year.
