Eduardo demands Flávio’s campaign and denies the end of his candidacy – 05/17/2026 – Politics

The former federal deputy denied this Sunday (17) that he had spoken to the former owner of , , said that Flávio Bolsonaro’s (PL-RJ) campaign must be more prepared to act in crises and stated that the chance of his brother giving up his candidacy “is zero”.

“Flávio’s campaign needs to be more engaged in a cabinet to give a prompt response”, declared the former parliamentarian, adding that this would not be easy. “It takes us a while to respond because we cannot give just any answer, otherwise we will end up in contradiction, without complete information, which is a big deal for our enemies.”

Flávio’s involvement with Vorcaro was criticized by Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) and Romeu Zema (Novo). Eduardo declared that “with all due respect to the other right-wing candidates, only Flávio can beat Lula. The candidacy is maintained and we will continue until victory.”

The statements were made in an interview with the Paulo Figueiredo Show, a channel run by Bolsonaro businessman Paulo Figueiredo.

Eduardo, who is traveling in Bahrain, said again that his brother’s communication with the Master’s then owner was strictly about the film. After Figueiredo commented that many people say he should know who Vorcaro was, the former deputy made a comparison with someone who takes out financing from .

“There is no way to [saber]. It’s the same thing, you have a house financed by Caixa Econômica Federal. And if they are arrested there, why did the president of Caixa start to attack financing? Will you have any part in this? Are you going to be accused of this?”

Figueiredo then pointed out that the difference is that Flávio had direct contact with Vorcaro, but then added that he himself did not know about the suspicions about the then banker. Eduardo then said that he only found out about them later.

He also stated that he never had Vorcaro’s contact or sent him a WhatsApp message. “Unless, I don’t know, five years ago I went to an event and someone took a photo. But, categorically, I didn’t participate in any meeting with him, nothing like that. Not even in the context of the film,” he said.

The conversation with Figueiredo took place days after the website Intercept Brasil revealed that Flávio was in frequent contact with Vorcaro, as the owner of Master committed to financing the film “” (underdog, in English) in honor of Bolsonaro.

According to the website, around R$61 million paid by Vorcaro reached the Havengate fund, in the USA, through an intermediary company called Entre Investimentos e Participações.

In the interview, Eduardo said that Vorcaro’s conversations show that the banker maintained “a lot of influence over Entre”, but denies signing a contract with the owner of Master. “Technically, there is no Vorcaro or Banco Master signing with the fund [Havengate] or with production. That doesn’t exist,” he says.

“The relationship with him [Vorcaro]As far as I’ve seen, it’s actually not with him, right? [É] With Entre, which is the CNPJ that signs the contract with the fund, it is strictly professional”, Eduardo told Figueiredo. “It is the investor who put in the money, Entre, and will receive that money back when the product is sold, which is the film ‘Dark Horse’.”

After the publication of the Intercept Brasil report, Eduardo began investigating whether the transfers were also denied. In the interview, he mentioned the R$2 million Pix he received from his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), but did not detail his earnings, arguing that he is no longer a public figure.

“There is no transfer from Havengate to Eduardo Bolsonaro”, says the former parliamentarian. “Zero money from the fund and zero money from Vorcaro.”

He denied that the property in Arlington, Texas, purchased by a fund linked to Paulo Calixto, his lawyer, is his.

The former deputy, who lives in Texas, also said that he does not live on the property or in the city. “I didn’t buy a house, there’s nothing in my name, I live on rent, I don’t live in this city they’re talking about and I live on rent.”
