The “Yokohama FC Support Rice”, as the project started in 2021 in partnership with the Mitsuhashi Inc rice wholesaler, comes at a time when growing food prices have been pressing family budgets in the Asia. The information is from the Kyodo News agency.

A 300 -gram rice package produced by the club has been sold at the stadium twice a year. By 2025, Yokohama FC also decided to start selling online, with a bag of 5 kg coming out for about 6,000 yen ($ 41 or $ 224.54).

In late May, two team players participated in the rice planting, under the guidance of local farmers.

“I would be happy if our activities could help people know Yokohama’s rice,” said 18 -year -old defender Jui Hata.
