Earthquake in Iran amid conflict with Israel

A seismic shake of magnitude 5.1 shook the north of Friday (20), according to the United States Geological Service (USGs), in the middle of war. The earthquake occurred 10 kilometers deep and about 37 kilometers southwest of the city of SEMNAN, the USGS added. Iranian news agency Tasnim reported in turn a magnitude of 5.2 and IRNA said no victims were recorded and there was “minimal damage.” According to state television, the earthquake was of magnitude 5.5 and “shook the outskirts of the city of Sorjé, in the province of Semnán.” The quake was also felt in the capital, Tehran, about 150 kilometers from Sorkheh, indicated the same source.
