PORTHCAWL – Emma Spitz started strongly into the British Open of the golfers. The 25-year-old Lower Austrian played a 69 round (3 under par) in the Welsh Porthcawl on Thursday and is sensational after the first day. The ÖGV project, which is going to the Women’s Open for the third time, was difficult for two bogeys on the first two holes. Single then made six birdies with only one further loss of stroke.
