In conversation with journalists, head of the joint staff, General Dan Caine, avoided saying that 3 nuclear facilities were “obliterated”, as Trump did

Head of the joint state-state of the United States, General Dan Caine avoided on Sunday (22.Jun.2025) to say that the 3 nuclear facilities of Iran-the day before the US forces-were “were“obliterated“.

Caine passed off the expression used by President Donald Trump (Republican) in conversation with journalists in the Pentagon. He preferred to say that the basis in the cities of Natanz, Esfahan and Fordow suffered “severe damage“.

Iran confirmed the US attack. The government of the Persian country, however, said it was able to remove equipment from the facilities before the bombing.

One of the main focuses of Saturday’s attack (21.Jun) was the nuclear facility of Fordow, 95 km from the underground capital. The place is on a fortified mountain slope, tens of meters from the surface.

Therefore, the US used 14 GBU-57, a pump capable of penetrating up to 60 meters on the ground. According to the newspaper The New York Timesa high US government official confirmed that Fordow was not destroyed, but “severely damaged“.
