Iran’s supreme leader, there Khamenei, began setting up a plan of succession to his position if he is found and killed. According to (Institute for War Study), the Iranian chose 3 candidates, but the names would not have been released.
The plan also includes successors for military commanders. The negotiations are being done by confidential articulators and, at the request of Khamenei, without the use of mobile to prevent the information from being leaked.
The succession strategy, made directly by the Iranian, is the first done outside an official meeting to define a successor in Iran.
