The term “milk injection” refers to propofol treatment-a potent intravenous and short-active intravenous anesthetic commonly used for sedation and anesthesia in clinical environments.

In the clinic, Cai was subjected to propofol application. According to the Daily Express website, the drug was administered by physician Wu Shaohu, director of the clinic and a well -known plastic surgeon nicknamed Taiwan’s “Liposuction Padrinho”.

According to reports disclosed, a failure in the infusion pump configuration caused the substance to be released more than recommended. The error caused a almost immediate cardiac and respiratory arrest.

Despite the resuscitation attempts, Cai entered a coma and was hospitalized in critical condition. The model remained unconscious for 18 days. On Thursday (June 12), the family decided to turn off the vital support devices.

The episode generated great public repercussions and discussions about the medical conduct involved. Wu Shaohu left the clinic after the injection was applied, leaving the patient under the care of an assistant without qualification in nursing.

Authorities have opened an investigation into WU for possible neglect and violation of the Taiwan Medical Assistance Law, with Propofol being rigidly regulated for use by qualified professionals only.
