The measure, which will cover the period from May 2025 to April 2026, should impact about 8.6 million beneficiaries across the country
The (ANS) authorized a readjustment of up to 6.06% for individual and family health plans. The measure, which will cover May 2025 to April 2026, should impact about 8.6 million beneficiaries across the country. According to the agency’s board, the index reflects the increase in operators’ expenses with medical services by 2024. The calculation considers the costs of care expenses and inputs, as well as the frequency of use of the plans by beneficiaries. The goal, according to ANS, is to maintain the sector’s financial balance without imposing abusive increases in users, ensuring the sustainability of services.
The readjustment will be applied retroactively, in the anniversary month of the contract of each beneficiary. The agency clarifies that the decision does not apply to collective plans, whether business or adherence, which have their own bargaining rules. The percentage was submitted to the Ministry of Finance, approved by the ANS Collegiate Board and will be published in the Federal Official Gazette.
