American deputy Chris Smith sent a letter to the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, asking the government to quickly act to apply sanctions to the minister, (Supreme Federal Court).

Smith, Republican, is co -president of the Human Rights Commission of the House of House and was already an advocate for the application of punishments to the magistrate.

Submitting the letter by pressing the US government, however, occurs two days

In the document sent to Rubio and also to a White House member, Smith also asks the State Department to identify other Brazilian authorities involved in what he calls transnational repression. It also says that Brazil is in the “point of an institutional rupture”.

“I insist the administration to act quickly to impose these sanctions and, in the name of future liability, to identify other Brazilians involved in transnational repression,” Smith wrote.

“Brazil, once a democratic partner, is approaching an institutional break. We cannot afford to regret, in the light of the warning signs are clear, and the tools are available,” he continues.

The statement of the American parliamentarian echoes accusations of Figueiredo that Moraes would be a dictator for abusing his power. There is no sign in Brazil, however, no sign that there will be an institutional rupture that takes the country to an authoritarian regime, as the American deputy suggests.

Smith states that the acts of transnational repression of the Brazilian government and lack of answers to committee questions generate concern for decreasing the rights of people in the US and the integrity of the technological structure, as Moraes’ decisions reach Big Techs.

The deputy also lists and attaches the testimony given by Figueiredo in the commission this week denouncing what is violations of Moraes, in another pressure movement for sanctions to the magistrate.

Figueiredo, who has lived in the US for ten years and is a defendant in the case of the 2022 coup plot, repeated the argument that Moraes goes beyond his duties and violates citizens’ rights on American soil, in a new investment against the magistrate.

He figured as a witness in the session of the board who heard five other people of different nationalities about what would be transnational violations committed by agents from their countries.

“The US has powerful tools, such as the Magnistky Law. I have been I to recommend sanctions to Moraes in the next 30 days,” said the former combatant.

The former young Pan combatant called Moraes a “dictator disguised as a judge” and quoted other people in American territory that were targets of him, such as scholarship Allan dos Santos, as well as, owner of X (formerly), and Chris Pavlovski, Rumble CEO.

“Today, Moraes insults me by calling me fugitive. He claims that he has a secret warrant against me, and I was not formally convicted, and I don’t even know if my name is at Interpol,” he said on the commission.

Moraes cited the existence of the arrest warrant during a session at the Supreme Court and said the former combatant is on the run.
