The Ukraine Foreign Ministry has summoned on Wednesday to the business manager of the United States Embassy, John Ginkel, to warn that any possible delay or cancellation in the sending of weapons will only serve to “encourage the aggressor”, in this case Russia, “to continue with war and terrorism.”
kyiv has responded in this way to confirmation by the White House that, with the aim of prioritizing US security interests. According to the media, the suspension, promoted from the Department of Defense, would affect missiles and antialeial defense projectiles.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has confirmed the summons to Ginkel without alluding to this last decision, although it has stressed that the meeting, which by the government has been headed by Vice Minister Mariana Betsa, has basically revolved around military cooperation.
Betsa has expressed her gratitude for the help provided from the United States in recent years, but has underlined the importance of maintaining deliveries already assigned, with a special allusion to the reinforcement of the air defense. In this regard, he recalled that Russia has intensified its attacks while rejecting the high fire proposed by US President Donald Trump.
kyiv considers “crucial” to continue pressing Moscow the strengthening of the defensive abilities of Ukraine, although Trump had already been suggesting since he returned to the White House that could review the levels of aid.
