Witnesses triggered the GCM, which moved to the scene. Upon noticing the arrival of the garrison, the aggressor released the young woman, got in the car and fled.
The chase only ended after the man loses control of the vehicle and hit a pole. He was arrested and, according to GCM, was “Visibly drunk and without qualification”.
Both the victim and the aggressor were referred to the hospital for evaluation and, following, presented at the São Leopoldo Emergency Police Station (DPPA). There, the man was filed in the act and taken to the prison system.
