Adailton Cruz recalls the beginning of his career at the Acre Health Workers Union

This Friday (11), Deputy Adailton Cruz used his social networks to share a symbolic memory of his trajectory in the trade union movement. In his publication, he recalled July 11, 2015, when he decided to compete for the presidency of Sintesac – Acre State Health Workers Union – with the aim of transforming the entity into a true instrument of defense of public health civil servants.

At the time, the union had lived for more than two decades under the command of the same group, which, according to the parliamentarian, did not represent the interests of the category. The decision to apply was made in the midst of a scenario of great challenges: without structure, without union history and facing political and institutional forces that dominated the sector, Adailton and a group of supporters faced the mission with courage and disposition.

“We wanted a fierce union, technical, qualified and committed to the ideals of workers,” recalled the deputy in the publication. The plate called Honoring the server won the election in a democratic and transparent way, but was eventually unleashed by the Electoral Commission, in an episode that, according to Adailton, aimed to benefit the group that already occupied the union direction.

The case was eventually brought to court, and after proving that it had been the victim of a blow, the plate won the right to take office. “It was a difficult process, but we won,” he said.

Although today he is no longer ahead of the union, the deputy reaffirms the pride for the trajectory and achievements of the group he helped form. “I am very proud of our struggle and the work of the warriors who were with us. Our union came to, in fact, honor the server,” he concluded.
