Investigators of the Fatal Air India accident last month have not found evidence that requires actions related to the Boeing 787 aircraft or the GE engines that equate it.
“At this stage of the investigation, there are no actions of actions for operators and manufacturers of the B787-8 and/or the GENX-1B engine,” said a preliminary report from the Aeronautical Accident Investigation Office released on Saturday.
The investigation continues, and the team will examine additional evidence, records and information, the agency added.
The report is based on the analysis of data extracted from the cabin voice recorder, the digital flight data recorder and other details collected at the accident site, the worst air disaster in over a decade.
The document represents the first official explanation for the tragedy, which placed the Indian airline in crisis precisely when working on its recovery under the new management of the Tata Group. Boeing also maintained a discreet profile after the catastrophe, as the American manufacturer was associated with another air crash.
A representative of Air India did not commented immediately.

The Boeing 787 was to London when it fell shortly after the takeoff from the Indian Western city of Ahmedabad, being the first total loss of this aircraft model.
The accident killed everyone except one of the 242 people on board, as well as other victims on the ground, when the plane crashed with a densely populated area of the city.
