BITE ME ONE: The brand that challenged the pandemic with fashion, sport and attitude

In 2021, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, when the world faced uncertainties and unprecedented challenges, Bite One, a brand that embraced originality and freedom of expression through fashion and sport, emerged. Founded by Rui Palmilha, the company started as an audacious project in the T-shirts and Sweetshirts sector, but quickly expanded its reach to the sports universe, gaining international markets before settling in Portugal.

The name was not chosen at random. “It was born from a drawing that symbolized the courage to be different,” reveals Rui Palmilha. “We wanted to create a scream of freedom without fear of highlighting, being seen, of ‘biting’ conventions.”

This philosophy is materialized in vibrant colors, an intentionally irreverent logo and pieces that fuse the founder’s personal taste with an urban visual appeal. The strategy has been clear from the first day: to conquer Europe before asserting itself at home. Markets such as the United Kingdom, France and Germany embraced the boldness of designs and the quality of materials, transforming Bite One into a brand with global DNA. “We have tested our language in different cultures. Courage, after all, has no borders,” confesses insole.

A frequent sports practitioner since adolescence, Palm has seen in the brand a natural extension of his lifestyle. The first collaborations with sporting events were the kick -off for a larger project: the 3rd 3 × 3 football marathon, which Bite Me One organizes in Tavira, on July 18-20.

“It’s more than a tournament is a meeting point between generations,” describes the founder. “Young people, adults, even families. All in a relaxed environment, but with the competitive energy that only football can create.”

The event, already considered a milestone in the Algarvia region, has the support of the Tavira City Council Workers Club and local partners, growing year after year.

Matches will be played in the atalaia multi-sports, and the registration is open through Instagram or contact 914 562 718. “Without the community, this would be impossible,” says Palm, highlighting the crucial role of participants and sponsors.

In addition to the event in Tavira, the brand prepares news. International expansion remains a priority, but without neglecting the national market, where Bite Me one wants to assert itself as synonymous with authenticity and energy.

“The pandemic proved that even in darkness, creativity lights lights,” reflects the founder. And if the brand name is a challenge, the future promises to continue to surprise – one bite at a time.
