The Aragon Government has activated the emergency phase at level 1 of the Special Civil Protection Plan for adverse meteorological phenomena (Procifemar), as reported by the EFE agency, which have already caused about thirty incidents in municipalities of the Zaragoza region of Tarazona and Moncayo. The emergency is declared level 1 when the situation generated, or its foreseeable evolution, can be controlled with the means and resources assigned to the Procifemar. The strong storms have also caused the evacuation of about 400 people, most children who are in camp, from several points in northern Burgos.
“We are having notices of elevator graves, we have a flooded garage and several center shops have suffered flood damage,” explained Ana Calvo, councilor of Citizen Security of Tarazona, about 40 kilometers from Zaragoza, where municipal services are withdrawing the trees and branches fallen to leave the accesses to the city free and recover the mobility again.
