Η Ιταλία στέλνει ξανά μετανάστες στις κλειστές δομές της Αλβανίας

Ice, the federal police enforcement agency on immigration, may deport from “third” countries, not in their homeland, irregular immigrants, according to a document revealed by.

In fact, it has several details in its post. Ice will wait at least 24 hours before deporting someone to a so -called “third” country, according to the internal document, dated Wednesday, July 9, and is signed by ICE (ICE (ICE), Todd Lion.

However, it will be able to deport people to “third” countries within even six hours if it is considered that there are “emergency”, the text continues, provided that the person concerned or interested had an opportunity to speak with a lawyer.

According to this memorandum, immigrants may be deported to countries where authorities have promised not to torture or indulge in their persecution “without any need for further procedures”.

Ice’s new policy confirms that the Trump government wants to accelerate the expulsions of immigrants to various countries around the world.

The Supreme Court last month has lifted a lower court order that banned such deportations if no guarantees have been guaranteed that the countries of destination would not torture or persecution.

Following this decision, the Trump government expelled eight immigrants from Cuba, Laos, Mexico, Myanmar, Sudan and Vietnam in South Sudan.

Last week, the White House pushed five African countries-Liberia, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Mauritania and Gabon-to welcome immigrants under expulsion, according to a report by the Reuters news agency.

Fierce reactions

Defenders of human rights and immigrant rights criticize deportations in “third” countries, characterizing them inhumane and dangerous measure, as people may be confronted with violence, have no bonds to them or even speak their language.

According to Trina Realmut, a lawyer who assumed the representation of immigrants who filed a group appeal to justice against their immediate deportations, the new policy does not guarantee the observance of correct legal procedures and their rights, “as provided by law”.

The Ice document came to light because it joined the case file in the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, resident of the Maryland state, in a highest security prison in El Salvador.
