The night rail circulation between Porto-Campanhã and Aveiro will be conditioned from Saturday and by the end of the year due to work in Ruby line construction from the port of Porto.
In a statement, Metro do Porto said that the construction of a lower passage at Gaia-Devesas station, under the Ruby line contract, implies conditioning in the rail circulation between Porto-Campanhã and Aveiro, especially at night and on weekends“In order to minimize impacts on passengers.”
“To ensure service and reduce the disorders caused by these conditioning”, The Porto Metro will ensure “Highway overflow to CP passengerswith stops with the following rail stations: Porto-SaSo Bento, Porto-Campanhã, General Torres, Gaia-Devesas, Coimbrões, Magdalene, Valadares, Francles, Miramar, Aguda, Farm, Espinho, Ovar and Aveiro (for long-haul services), ”he added.
The dates
Thus, on weekends from Saturday and until August 10, as well as September 20-28, there will be conditioning in the rail circulation from 23:50 to 7:50. Already on weekends from 17 to 31 August and from October 5 to December 2, the conditioning will take place between 22:00 and 10:00.
On business days, from August 11 to September 25 (includes the holiday from August 15) and from November 26 to December 12 (including the holidays from December 1st and 8th), the works will require the conditioning the rail circulation in that stretch between 23:00 and 05:00.
Ferreirinha ready only in 2027
The beginning of the construction of a lower passage at Gaia-Devesas station, which requires these conditioning, was articulated with Portugal’s infrastructure and CP-Comboios de Portugal, ensures the Porto Metro.
