Alaska Air resumed flights after temporarily stopped her fleet late Sunday night (20) due to a fault on her IT system.
At about 8 pm, Pacific time on Sunday, a TI failure resulted in a temporary and general stoppage of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air flights, the airline said in a statement. The stoppage was suspended around 23h, and the operations resumed.
However, there will probably be residual impacts on flights, and it will take some time for operations to return to normal, the airline said.

This is the second time in just over a year that Alaska Air had to briefly paralyze its fleet due to IT problems.
In April 2024, the airline temporarily stopped its fleet after facing a problem during the weight and balancing system update.
This interruption occurred about three months after a door cover of a Boeing plane released during the flight, causing inconvenience on Alaska Air operations.
