Former President Jair Messias Bolsonaro released, on Monday (21), a video in which he appears surrounded by supporters and showing the electronic anklet that was placed on it by determination of the Supreme Court (STF). The equipment was imposed as a precautionary measure under investigations that investigate alleged coup attempts and attacks on the democratic system.
In the video, Bolsonaro makes direct criticism of the decision of justice and states that the measure represents a humiliation, not only to him, but to Brazil.

“I didn’t stole the public coffers. I didn’t divert public resources. I didn’t kill anyone. I didn’t track anyone. This is a symbol of a country’s ultimate humiliation. Look what they are doing with a former President of the Republic,” he said, lifting his leg to display his anklet to present.

Faced with the supporters, Bolsonaro stressed that he will remain firm, even in the face of the restrictions and processes he faces. – “We will face everything and everyone. What counts to me is the law of God.”
The video quickly viralized on social networks and divided opinions. While his allies see the act as a demonstration of strength and resistance, critics indicate that the former president tries to victimize himself in the face of the investigations surrounding him.
The electronic anklet was determined by the Supreme Court as a way to ensure that Bolsonaro complies rules established in the process, including displacement and communication limitations with other investigated.
