Microsoft says Chinese hackers are exploring flaws on sharepoint

Microsoft accused Chinese hackers of exploiting vulnerabilities in its SharePoint software, which have led to invasions around the world in recent days.

Two Chinese state agents have exploited these vulnerabilities on SharePoint, Microsoft said on a blog on Tuesday (23). Failures were discovered in instances of the software installed on customer servers, not in the cloud, the company said.

Governments, companies and other organizations around the world were invaded due to vulnerabilities, resulting in theft of sensitive information, the Bloomberg on Tuesday. Microsoft has launched a correction and recommended that customers adopt additional security measures.

The two known threat agents identified by Microsoft, Linen Typhoon and Violet Typhoon, have been active since the mid -2010s, the company said. In the past, they focused on intellectual property theft and espionage. Microsoft said a third threat agent also seems to be based on China, although the company has not evaluated its reason.
