Krugman: Pix is a “future of money”, but don’t expect US to follow an example of Brazil
American economist Paul Krugman has once again mentioned Brazil in his daily posts, this time, highlighting the success of the PIX, an electronic payment system developed by the Central Bank (BC), one of the recent attack targets of the government of US President Donald Trump. Since the US has decided to tax Brazilian products by 50%, the largest tax rate so far, the 2008 Nobel Prize winner has spoken more often about the country.
