The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) announced, in an official statement, punishments to the striker for declarations considered sexist on social networks. They are eradicating masculinity and making society more sensitive than ever. Do not be afraid of being women, of letting themselves guide for a man who just wants to see them happy, because we do not know the sky without you. … Many of us are here wanting to love, take care, respect and support them. But you, women, need to learn to honor masculinity,” added the player. The statements generated a wide negative repercussion in Mexico and abroad. In addition to the sanctions applied by the FMF, Chivas Guadalajara, a club where Chicharito operates, also announced that it adopts.
