In an interview with young Pan, Senator commented on operations against his father, Jair Bolsonaro, and approached the tariff announced by US President Donald Trump
During exclusive conversation with young Pan, the senator spared no criticism of the Supreme Court (), with a special focus on the minister. Flávio accused the minister of abuse of power and conducting processes with sentences that, according to him, would already be predetermined. He pointed out that such STF actions have harmed democracy, and criticize the Federal Senate for not fulfilling its balance between powers.
“All we have done is to seek normality in our country. Unfortunately, we do not have institutions functioning as they should, especially the Federal Senate, which has the constitutional responsibility to make this balance between powers … All we are doing is rescue our democracy that has been kidnapped by Alexandre de Moraes in recent times.”
In addition to criticism of the Supreme Court, Flávio Bolsonaro commented on the recent sanctions imposed by Brazil. He attributed some responsibility to Lula’s government and defended the name of his family, which has been related to “tariff”. “I didn’t go, it wasn’t Eduardo Bolsonaro, it was no one on the right who put the fake news inquiry and that began to take action here in Brazil regarding the people who were out. Who broke the American lesgilation was Alexandre de Moraes. He gave the United States to come … Who caused it all was not us, who is taking Brazil to this situation.”
Flávio Bolsonaro still called Lula irresponsible and stated that he looks like a “drunk”: “It seems that he is happy with what is happening. So, you can’t put this fare in our lap.”
The interview also brought to light the 2026 elections, with Flávio Bolsonaro expressing confidence that Jair Bolsonaro could compete, despite the current ineligibilities. “We will be most, a majority even bigger than we have today.” For him, “Lula will not be president from 2027”.
