Artificial Intelligence (IA) already transforms the daily life of people and companies – whether optimizing processes, organizing information or creating new business models. This Friday (25), who was in Expert XP 2025 He could hear directly from Brazilian executives from Qualcomm and Dell – two global references in the sector – what is being done with technology and what is yet to come.

The scenario described by the executives seems out of a science fiction script: robots that receive orders, cars that speak, and a polyglot in the public service. “We are still at the beginning of AI, but there is a lot of things going on and gaining a scale,” said Cristiano Amon, Qualcomm CEO. “We are 100% involved in this,” said Luis Gonçalves, president of Dell for Latin America.

Amon pointed out that one of the fundamental points of AI today is that the computer can understand human language – not only by voice, but also by text and image. This, according to him, marks the beginning of the age of AI, with devices capable of processing artificial intelligence locally and interacting with the user naturally, as in a conversation between people.

“It’s one of the biggest changes in the user interface cycle. AI is the new interface,” he said. And that makes room for a series of innovations – some already in progress.

The businessman predicts, for example, that cars will soon be able to talk directly with people, remembering appointments or even calling someone. Applications, such as banks, can also interact directly with users, without the need to push buttons, as is done today.

WAS “PHYSICAL”

Another point highlighted by Amon is the “Physical Ia”, which advances along with robotics. He said that a company customer was training a robot to handle order packages, turning them to the barcode to be visible for reading. When the package was wrinkled or wrapped, the robot used a mechanical arm to adjust it and ensure the correct reading.

“The development of the physical AI – which combines mechanical machine sensors – is promoting a huge transformation,” he said.

Gonçalves, from Dell, spoke about the use of AI in the public service. The company has developed in the city of Amarillo, Texas, an AI -based solution that allows citizens to talk to public services in their own language through virtual agents. The local population is diverse, with speakers of various languages – including Middle East, American and Mexican communities – which made service even more complex.

The combination of high performance connectivity, high performance computing and artificial intelligence, according to experts, is revolutionizing sectors such as energy, retail and manufacturing – and, of course, the defense area as well. Despite being a controversial theme, AI has been increasingly used in conflicts. “The tendency is to have autonomous vehicles, drones and robots,” said Amon.

For both experts, AI is here to stay, and both companies and professionals need to understand that. “The main feature is to be able to learn and adapt to the new world. And in this the Brazilian is exceptional. It is a feature that is in DNA,” said Gonçalves.
