Maria Talarico Massa, mother of the presenter and businessman known as Ratinho, died on Saturday (26/7), at 88 years. The information was confirmed through an official note from Rede Massa, a family belonging to the family, and replicated by SBT.

In the statement, the station highlighted the legacy left by the matriarch: “Dona Maria, as she was affectionately known, leaves a legacy of love, faith and dedication to the family, with memories of many happy moments lived by all around her. Dona Maria’s memory will continue to live in all those who had the privilege of knowing her and in the hearts of all who loved her.”
In June this year, the presenter even published on social networks a video of the hospitalized mother, but expected to discharge. “My mother can’t stand to stay in the hospital anymore, but tomorrow she already gets discharged and we’ll go home. I love you, mother,” he wrote in the caption.
Maria Talarico was also a grandmother of Carlos Massa Júnior, Mouse Junior, current governor of Paraná. The cause of death was not disclosed. Family members have not yet publicly manifested.
