ENEM (National High School Exam) 2025 registered 4,811,338 confirmed registrations, according to the Ministry of Education. The number represents up 11.22% compared to last year and 38% compared to 2022.
Of the total, 3,049,710 candidates are exempt from the fee and 1,761,628 paid the registration. A novelty of this edition was the automatic completion of 1,390,815 registrations by (National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira).
São Paulo leads the ranking with 751,648 subscribers, followed by Minas Gerais (464,994) and Bahia (428,019).
will be applied on November 9th and 16th across the country. Exception is for Belém, Ananindeua and Marituba (PA), where the exam will take place on November 30 and December 7 due to COP30 (30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change).
Enem is the main form of access to higher education in Brazil through Sisu (Unified Selection System), Prouni (University for All Program) and FIES (Student Financing Fund). Public and private universities also use the grade as a selection criterion, as well as Portuguese institutions agreed with Inep.
Enem will allow the tests to be used again for the certification of completion of high school and partial declaration of proficiency from the 2025 edition. The change was made official on Friday (23.MAI.2025) by the MEC (Ministry of Education). Read the 382 Ordinance of 2025 (PDF – 98 KB).
The possibility had been suspended in 2017. To obtain certification, the participant will need to comply with 3 specific requirements:
- minimal score 450 points in each area of knowledge, according to the basic performance standard defined by Inep (National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira);
- to achieve at least 500 points in the newsroom;
- have at least 18 years complete on the date of the first test of the exam
