The most aggressive and invasive form of brain cancer, completely cured with an innovative treatment

The only participant in a study testing a treatment against this type of cancer has been completely cured.

Ben Trotman, an American diagnosed with an aggressive and incurable form of cancer, glioblastoma, has completely cured, following a completely new treatment, reports

In October 2022, Ben Trotman was diagnosed with one of the most lethal forms of brain cancer, and the diagnosis fell as a torpedo in his family.

This form of cancer, the most aggressive and frequent form of cancer, kills, only in the US, every year, 10,000 people and 250,000 worldwide.

There is no treatment for glioblastoma, apart from standard treatment – tumor removal, radiotherapy, chemotherapy.

The disease is extremely invasive in the central nervous system, because the cells multiply extremely.

Those diagnosed with GBM have a survival rate of 14 – 20 months.

Testing the treatment before anything else – surgery, etc …

In the case of Trotman, however, things, although dramatic at first, went unexpectedly, because he was guided to the Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery within the London university hospitals.

There, Dr. Paul Mulholland, a consultant oncologist, recruited the Trotam as a single participant in a revolutionary experiment-ipilimumab immunotherapy, before Trotman follows standard treatments.

Subsequently, he began meetings with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

“The crucial element of this study is that patients receive the stimulation of the immune system by drug before any other treatment, when they are still healthy enough to tolerate immunotherapy,” explained Dr. Mulholland in a press release.
