The president of the PSB warned that if only progressive names in the plates, Lula will favor polarization and will eventually facilitate the election of Senate pockets.
The mayor of Recife reminded the current President of the Republic that center senators often leave a margin for negotiation with the larger government than the Bolsonarists.

João Campos’s lunch with Lula
João Campos, according to the column, reinforced the alert to Lula during lunch with the petista on Wednesday (23/7), at the palace of Alvorada, official residence of the president.
On the PSB side, Vice President Geraldo Alckmin, Minister Márcio França (entrepreneurship) and the current party leader in the House, Pedro Campos, attended the meeting.
At lunch, according to reports, Lula asked that PT and PSB “do not hit head” regarding the formation of plates in the 2026 elections, especially the Senate.
During the meeting, which also had the participation of Minister Gleisi Hoffmann (institutional relations), petistas and pessebists talked about states in which the two parties will be able to walk together.
