decorates every second garden. I must admit that it blooms well and tolerates frosts well, but because of such popularity it ceased to stand out. The flowers of this specimen are quite stiff and have a predictable color – usually white, sometimes with the addition of light pink. That is why the Endless Summer hydrangea has become her better alternative. Hardly anyone heard about it, which is why we consider this plant as unique.

The Endless Summer hydrangea is characterized by a compact habit and a long flowering period. She has large, decorative leaves, but her flowers delight the most. They pay attention even in the big garden.

The inflorescences consist of numerous, small burning flowers, which sprinkles the bush at the beginning of summer, and decorate it until late autumn. They bloom both on this year’s and last year’s shoots.

Their color depends on the pH of the soil, which affects the absorption of aluminum ions. So on sour soils the flowers are blue and pink on alkaline. Thanks to this, we have more opportunities to arrange the garden.

The Endless Summer hydrangea is even more durable than this bouquet. It was created for difficult climatic conditions. However, we must provide her with a slightly shaded position sheltered from the wind.

Another advantage of this variety is flowering ability to young shootsthat’s why we don’t have to worry that the bush will freeze. Even if the shoots are damaged by frost, the plant will release new branches that will release flowers in the summer.

This specimen is characterized by easy cultivation. It does not require specialized treatments, which is why even a beginner gardener will cope with her care.

By applying the most important care principles, the Endless Summer hydrangea will bloom like crazy, decorating the garden with original flowers, from which it is difficult to take your eyes off. So how do you grow this phenomenal plant? As mentioned, this shrub prefers slightly shaded positions, preferably if it has access to the sun for several hours a day. In a sunny place he overheats and its leaves are dying.

We plant the Endless Summer hydrangea on a slightly acid, fertile and humus surface. After planting, it is worth putting out the litter around it to maintain moisture. This plant needs regular watering for proper development. The irrigation should be abundant, especially during periods of drought. However, we must be careful not to pour the specimen, because then the roots can be rotted. Therefore, it is worth using the drip irrigation system.

Fertilization is also important. We carry out this procedure in spring, before the growing season, and then we continue it every 4-6 weeks during growth. We use fertilizers rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.

We cut the shrub in early spring before the appearance of new buds. Then we remove the sick branches damaged by frost. Cutting should not be radical, however – we must keep the plant habit.
