The week starts with full focus on the classic against the, scheduled for Wednesday, at 9:30 pm (Brasília), in the Arena Neo Chemistry, for the round of 16 of the Brazilian Cup. After the 1-1 draw with Botafogo last Saturday, the cast resumes training on Monday, and coach Dorival Júnior is expecting his three main names in the offensive sector.

After more than four months, the trio formed by Rodrigo Garro, Yuri Alberto and Memphis Depay can return to act along. Since Dorival took charge of the team on April 29, the trio has not yet had the opportunity to play along with a series of injuries that affected the three athletes.

In 2025, the three began as holders in only seven matches. The last time they were together was in the Paulista Championship final, against Palmeiras himself, on March 27.

Since then, Garro spent two months away to treat patellar tendinopathy in his right knee; Memphis faced three distinct lesions throughout the season; And Yuri Alberto suffered, more recently, a fracture in a lumbar vertebra.

“We have a problem that we haven’t had the possibility of having the three players in front of them.” I didn’t have them together at any time – said Dorival, after the victory over Ceará, for the 14th round of Brasileirão.

Since the arrival of Memphis in September last year, the trio had been standing out as one of the most productive in the country. Together, they totaled 35 direct guest appearances in goals – there were 23 goals and 11 assists – contributing to impressive 91.8% of Corinthians goals in the period.

Now the Corinthian coach expects the three to be decisive against Palmeiras.
