China and the United States met again this Monday to negotiate a commercial and tariff agreement. The commercial representatives of the two largest economies on the planet gathered in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Among them, Scott Bessent, Secretary of the American Treasury, and China’s vice-minister-minister, He Lifeng.

According to Reuters news agency, US officers should propose another three -month postponement to 30%rates.

On Monday (28), alongside UK Prime Minister Keir Stmerer, Donald Trump briefly commented on the expectations of an agreement with the Chinese. According to Trump, he would love to “see China open the country.”

Trump also quoted an “medium level”. “I said, you know, I kind of know, but I just want to be kind. I would say in the 15 to 20%range,” said Trump.

Republican’s statements arrive a day after the presentation of a tariff agreement with the European Union. The text foresees 15% rates to European products entering the United States, with exemptions not yet fully specified, but involving aircraft and semiconductors.

Some of the block’s main leaders reacted poorly to the agreement. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, “” he went back and said the tariffs will harm the German economy.

France’s Prime Minister said the bloc was submitted to the United States and had passed “a dark Sunday.” Argument repeated by Hungary leader Viktor Orbán – first -order ally of Donald Trump.

Europe has promised $ 750 billion over the next three years in US energy products.

The figure – and the agreement – are contested by the size of the European market. By 2024, Europe imported $ 83 billion in mineral fuels and oils, 66% less than promised to invest until the last year of Trump’s term.
