The Russian District of Severo-Kurilsk, in the far south of the Kamchatka Peninsula in East Russia, decreed a state of emergency after Tsunami, according to state news agency Tass.
The Peninsula coast earthquake, and several waves hit the district on the morning of Wednesday (30), moving boats that were tied in the ports and carrying containers, according to the agency and videos of the site.
Nearly 300 people were taken from Porto, emergency regional services reported to the Ria News state news agency.
The earthquake
Earlier, an 8.8 magnitude earthquake hit the East Coast of Russia on Tuesday (29), according to the United States Geological Service (USGS).
Then a 3-4 meter wave tsunami was registered in the region of Kamchatka. The phenomenon was also recorded in Hokkaidoin northern Japan.

According to the regional governor, the tremor was the “strongest in decades”.
