Lawyer of (PL-SP), Fabio Pagnozzi says that it was the deputy who presented himself to the Italian police in Rome on Tuesday (29), and that this only proves the lack of the need for an extradition process.
“The initiative reinforces its unambiguous willingness to collaborate with the authorities and demystifies any claim that it would be at large,” says the lawyer, in a statement.
“The presentation of the deputy proves the lack of the need for an extradition process, since she has always been available for the necessary clarifications,” Pagnozzi continued.
Finally, the lawyer said that Zambelli thanks the support of his voters and the Brazilian population.
Although the lawyer said that it was Zambelli who surrendered, the deputy was arrested in an action of the Brazilian in partnership with Italian police. The arrest took place in the apartment where she has lived since she arrived in the country.
Pagnozzi’s statements reinforce that the purpose of the defense is to make Zambelli respond criminally in Italy.
