Secretary of Legislative Affairs of the Ministry of Justice, criticized the government’s AE stated that the institutions should come together to protect the prerogatives of the Minister of (Supreme Court).
“Brazil needs to follow firmly defending its sovereignty, defending its institutions. Minister Alexandre Moraes played a central role in defending the Constitution, in defense of our democracy and under no circumstances can he have his prerogative as a magistrate, as a minister of the supreme threatened by anyone, much less by someone, for a foreign nation,” he says.
“So it is very important that institutions unite again, as they have come together to protect democracy, now to protect our sovereignty, to protect their prerogatives,” he adds.
Marivaldo also criticizes Trump’s tariff; “Everything has to be guided by dialogue and what will be best for each of the countries. Under no circumstances can the debate on tariffs be presupposed the interference in the functioning of the internal institutions of each nation,” he says.
“This undermines the sovereignty of each country and cannot be admitted in a democratic rule of law and in a world where nations guide their dialogues for diplomacy,” he added.
