According to the pharmacist and CEO of Urban Farm, Bio Vivos, Dayan Marques, who is exposing his production at the fair, the grass of wheat is especially beneficial for the digestive tract of felines, as well as helping to reduce the formation of hair balls, a common problem among domestic animals.

“It provides natural enzymes, minerals and carbohydrates that contribute to intestinal balance. It is a functional food that helps safely and accessible,” said the expert.

In addition to the grass aimed at the PET public, a company also offers a varied line of microverde for human consumption. Vegetables are harvested between 7 and 10 days after planting, when they concentrate up to 40 times more nutrients than in adulthood.

Among the most sought after are the dwarf sunflower, beet, arugula, kale, mustard and carrot. Products are 100% pesticide free and can be purchased through monthly subscription, in personalized kits, or at points of sale partners, such as markets and natural products stores. The trays, with about 80g, cost between $ 13 and $ 15, according to the variety.

The proposal of the Urban Farm is to popularize the use of microverdes for both practicality and high nutritional value. In addition to working well in salads, omelets, juices and hot dishes, vegetables have also gained space in haute cuisine, such as sophisticated edible decoration.
