The president of USA, Donald Trumprevealed this Thursday (31/7) an ambitious project: the construction of a new and imposing ballroom in White house. The proposal was presented by the press secretary, Karoline Leavittat an official press conference, and later confirmed in a government statement.

Construction details and objectives

According to the document, the construction is scheduled to start in September this year and will have an estimated cost of US $ 200 millionthe equivalent of more than R $ 1.1 billion in the current price. The work will be funded by resources from the US President, as well as donors’ contributions. The innovative project was also released, displaying images of the new space that promises to transform the dynamics of events into the heart of American power.

The new ballroom will occupy an area of approximately 8,400 square meters and will be able to receive 650 guests sitting at formal dinners, more than triple of the current capacity of the White House East Hallwhich accommodates 200 people.
