Minister Luís Roberto Barroso of (Supreme Federal Court) resumed the court’s activities on Friday (1st) with a displeasure to the minister, targeted by sanctions by the Government Donald Trump.
He stated that the Court’s performance preserved democracy and that the process of the 2022 coup plot investigates various crimes against the Democratic Rule of Law and is conducted with due process and transparency.
“The mark of the Brazilian judiciary, from the first degree to the Federal Supreme Court, is independence and impartiality. All defendants will be tried based on the evidence produced, without any kind of interference, come from where it comes,” he said.
The president of the Court gave a speech in reopening work for the semester.
