Military police from the Shock Battalion (BPCHQ) arrested on Friday (1) the criminal Igor Gomes Matheus, known as “Rugal”, appointed as head of trafficking at Morro da Serrinha, in Madureira, in the north of Rio de Janeiro.
According to police, the suspect would also be the man of war of the criminal faction Third Pure Command (TCP). “Rugal da Serrinha” would be responsible for commanding shooting in territorial disputes of the faction in various Rio communities.
Also according to the PM, the trafficker was arrested during an approach on João Ribeiro Street, in Tomas Coelho, also in the North Zone of Rio. Agents saw a taxi walking at high speed and gave a stop order. Inside the vehicle were the criminal, the father, the wife and his daughter.
“Rugal” had already been arrested by the Military Police in March 2023, after being hit in a confrontation in the Campinho community. He carried a rifle, police said. The man was released three months after the arrest.
Against the trafficker, there were arrest warrants open for crimes of murder and theft. The occurrence was registered at the 44th Inhaúma Police Station, in the north of the state capital.
