Cuiabá beats Volta Redonda and glue in the G-4 Series B

Cuiabá beat Volta Redonda 2-0 on the night of Monday (4) at the Pantanal Arena. The match closed the 20th round of Series B of the Brazilian Championship.

Dourado’s goals were scored by Alisson Safira, by penalty, and Alejandro Martínez, who made his debut for the Mato Grosso team.

With the result, Cuiabá leaned against the G-4, reaching fifth place, with 31 points, only two less than Chapecoense, which opens the group of the top four.

Volta Redonda, in turn, has descended a position and is now in the relegation zone in 17th position with 21 points.

In the next round, Voltaço hosts Novorizontino on Saturday (9), at 20:30 (Brasilia), at Raulino de Oliveira Stadium. Already Cuiabá, visits Avaí on Sunday (10), at 16h, in Ressacada, in Florianópolis.
