The readjustment of tariffs announced Thursday by the US president, Donald Trump, placed the tax above 30 % for several countries with which a pact has not been reached, such as the cases of Switzerland, Serbia or Myanmar (Burma). However, most states have benefited from the modifications, which will enter into force as of August 7 instead of this Friday, according to the White House in an executive order. The worst standing stops of tariff list were countries like Syria (41 %), Laos (40 %) or Myanmar (40 %). The last two, however, achieved a reduction with respect to the figure announced by Trump on April 2, when he published the original list of encumbrances. They are followed by several European economies, such as Switzerland, Serbia or Bosnia-Herzegovina, with a tariff of 39, 35 and 30 % respectively, the result of the lack of a commercial pact.
